Book Study: How to Be an Anti-Racist by Ibram X. Kendi!
I invite you to join me on Thursday Nights at 7:00PM via ZOOM Meeting ID 891 9060 9230 (password 271407) to discuss Ibram X. Kendi’s book, How to be an Anti-Racist. I chose this book after many conversations with friends and colleagues over the last month regarding the civil and racial unrest of the last month and what needs to change.
Ibram X. Kendi’s concept of antiracism will reshape our conversation about racial justice in America–but even more fundamentally, it will point us toward liberating new ways of thinking about ourselves and each other. Instead of working with the policies and system we have in place, we will be asked to think about what an antiracist society might look like, and how we can play an active role in building it. I pray that our time together with this book will take us beyond an awareness of racism to the next step of contributing to the formation of a truly just and equitable society.
We will begin the Thursday, July 2 at 7:00PM and will be discussing the first two chapters of the book. You can purchase the book here at www.amazon.com in hardback or kindle edition.
